"Tyler came on as a coach during my sophomore year and was literally the reason I managed to get to where I needed to be as a hurdler, so that I could leave the decathlon and make it as a collegiate hurdler. Tyler helped me understand how I could become a better hurdler and what I needed to do to correct errors even, if he was not there. With his help and attention to detail I was able to refine my starts and even made the change from an 8 step start, to a 7 step start to the first hurdle. With his help I went from being a 14.4 hurdler to a 13.8 hurdler just in the time he was there. He even took his time to travel to my home country of Barbados, to see me through my National Championships in 2016. With him and my eventual coach Mike Ford, I saw great success in my years at Baylor and during that time became a full scholarship athlete at Baylor University. I believe he has the ability to bring out whatever latent ability you have with his crazy attention to detail and understanding of the sport."

"In my 5 years of knowing Tyler, I have learned from him as one of his athletes, and also as a fellow coach. Tyler is incredibly knowledgeable about track, speed and mechanics.

His passion for track, and eagerness to continue to grow, made him one of the best coaches I have ever had. He never hesitates to better understand the needs of the athlete. During my time as an athlete, in the first year, Tyler was pretty new to the hurdles, but he was always learning the drills and asking veteran hurdle coaches about the reasoning behind workouts.

He has been a vital source of encouragement throughout my time as a collegiate and professional athlete. Whether he is coaching at a local meet or traveling overseas, he has always been ready to help his athletes. Tyler is not only a fantastic coach, he is a fantastic friend. I recommend his training to anyone who desires a long-term relationship with their coach."

"I would like to first start with a thank you to Coach Tyler for all of the time he spent this past season working with me in the triple jump. I believe that I would not have made the state final had I not had such an outstanding coach behind me. I'm glad that he gave as much dedication to me and my success, as I did to track and field. In addition to the technical side of coaching, he also made practicing fun and enjoyable. One of the most memorable things he said during the year that really stuck with me was, "If you put in as much work as you should, why shouldn't you enjoy your time doing it?" That ideology has followed me into my college career and I am now making the best of everything. I really believe that my experience working with Coach Tyler is the reason for my success as an athlete and a testament to Tyler as a coach and a person.
Thank you coach!"

Athlete Testimonials

"I was given the opportunity to work with Coach Huff during my junior and senior years at Texas State University. He is an awesome coach who is passionate about track and field and the athletes. Through his coaching and mentorship, I was able to become a 2x All-American, school record holder and USATF Outdoor Championships Qualifier. He helped me not only physically prepare for a higher level of competition, but mentally as well. Coach Huff was one of the main reasons I was able to jump over 21 feet. He is one of the few coaches whom I would trust completely and recommend for experienced and knowledgeable coaching and training for track and field."
